4. How We Share Your Information
Your privacy is paramount. We share information only in these specific circumstances:
- Public profile: Username, bio, photo visible to users
- Optional stats: You control visibility of personality stats
- Matching algorithm: Internal use only for compatibility
- Community insights: Aggregated, anonymized trends only
- Service providers: Trusted third parties (see Section 5)
- Legal requirements: When required by law
- Business transfers: In case of merger/acquisition (with notice)
Important: Your private messages are never shared publicly or sold.
5. Third-Party Service Providers
To provide our services, we use trusted third-party providers:
- Supabase: Authentication, database hosting, backend infrastructure
- OpenAI: Powers Kai's AI conversations, personality insights, and conversation summaries
- Google (Gemini): Voice message transcription, image content moderation, and creative content generation
- GetStream: Messaging infrastructure for user-to-user chat
Each provider has their own privacy policy. Your AI conversations with Kai are processed by OpenAI's API but are not used to train their models. Google processes voice and image data only for the specific function requested.
6. AI Processing
Kai uses artificial intelligence to generate responses and maintain conversation memory.
Information we collect:
We may collect: email address, first name or nickname, age, gender, and country, messages and conversation history, voice messages, uploaded images, and creative content requests.
How this data is used:
- Generate AI responses
- Maintain conversational memory
- Personalize interactions
- Create creative content
Third-party AI providers:
We use the following third-party AI providers:
- OpenAI: Receives chat messages, profile metadata (name, age, gender, country), and conversation summaries to generate Kai's responses and maintain memory.
- Google (Gemini): Receives voice message audio for transcription, images for content moderation, and creative content prompts for generation.
We do not sell personal data. Each provider processes only the data required for its specific function.
What we do not share:
- Passwords
- Authentication tokens
- Payment information
- Private user-to-user messages
User controls:
- Disable AI conversations from Settings
- Reset Kai's memory at any time
- Delete your account and associated data
6. Data Security & Retention
